I found this rather interesting race. Although the major player controlled races have already been established, perhaps this can be an interested NPC race.

I think the devs are still busy with establishing the Noxter, the Iconians and the Ciadan?

Still, there is always room for ideas :) . Noxter are on parallel development, Ciadan will pop up first as an NPC, and other NPC's should be arriving (relatively) soon  ^-^

...That being said, this sounds like a wannabe Dominion, complete with slave races, powerful technology that defeats the Federation on the first go (first contact destroys an Intrepid immediately...*cough* Odyssey), signing treaty with Romulans, Romulans later drop treaty... word for word somebody started copy-pasting, with obviously more alterations.  :sweatdrop:

Parallel development? There are two or several noxter-concepts being created at the moment so the devs can choose which is the one they'll take in the end?

And the Ciadan-thing is readable in the guide, and I have read it. You seem to doubt that every time

Quote from the guide:
"The Developers changed their design plan for the future a bit, so the Ciadan will probably have their first appearance as a non playable faction, just to get them a bit early to the public, so more info on them will follow."

I would never presume to know what you have or have not read or know

By parallel development I mean that the current patches continue, but development of the Noxter occurs outside those patches until they are done: to illustrate by pictographic representation -

Noxter developmemt: _____________________________
Normal patch development: ___    ____    ____  ____  The big release

The reason I qualified that statement about the Ciadan is that the Devs are quite welcome to new NPC's, and the original factions I don't think will "interfere" much with the introduction of these other factions. For instance, Iconian development has been pushed back very far, so NPCs will certainly be put in place before work on that ancient faction has begun I believe.

True, and that's why I was laughing in the end.  ^-^

Got it.

I love the idea of the whole map-object and npc-race parts, but I still wonder if it's possible to implement neutral shipyards in a similar way the Taverns and Mercenary-camps in Warcraft 3 for example are, or if they have to be boarded like usual in Armada-games.

Also, I'm looking forward very much to those races outings in future releases and it's quite a good idea to give the Iconians this position in the work-order, so in the end we all might be very surprised after a quite long time of tension about it- At least I hope it will end up this way.

I think the "warcraft-style" mercenary buildings are the desired implementation, but I do not know if the coding has gotten to that point. Since it is possible to do in Megadroid's LUA mission mod (you can make it so you click on a ship and it transfers as far as I remember) I wonder if something similar might be done for these maps :)

For me this weapon system in particular seems interesting http://bfinfobase.org/index.php?title=C%27hakilian_Empire#Protomatter_Stream_Projector_.28PSP.29

I also find the autonomic fighters to be a nice change of pace (fighters which are useful against Borg assimilators because they have no crew)

Counter fighter frigate utilizing tractor beams... sweet.

This empire IMO shows enough promise to be a NPC

That ship will never be destroyed... sll those guns with Janeway in command, she's dangerous enough with a normal Intrepid!

And also, Crazy Janeway is egomanic enough to kill everyone while travelling back in time just for the sake of bringing Seven back to life whenever she dies before Janeway wants it to happen  :whistling:
