Borg Technology Idea

how about a station for the borg which is based off advances in science if you have assimilated a ship of another race. like if you assimilate the klingon Vor cha all ships get increased weapons fire, and make the technology where if the ship is destoryed the tech remain, option one on the old tech tree I think

I don't think it would be possible with the current engine, but it would make sense for the Borgs to, instead of researching, gain new abilities through assimilating other race's ships (something like one new technology for every new ship the right borg ship comes into contact with).

You can make it so that when you have a Vor'cha, you can research a pod, and that gives you the special power, that would work....
