yes, was just talking in general. there are still some engine limitations that prevent us from implementing 'proper' borg adaption currently. most of this has to be programmed first

i have been designing a borg adaption concept mod for the a2 import mod wen a new version is ready i'll post it so can get an idea of wot can be done atm

if we would give the borg the same rank up system the other races have, we'd have to make their initial vessels a lot weaker. borg vessels/configurations already have stats that can be considered 'ranked up'. borg vessels are quite powerful from the beginning, that is their race advantage. but yea, the borg won't get ship ranks. we've other ideas that will highlight their assimilation/adaption abilities.

Uh, quick question? then why does a vet monsoon have 45 defencive value while my regen scube has like 24 starting? that seems a little unfair, perhaps you could clarify?

Elite Monsoon has 40 def and a regen scube has 24.

Monsoon has HDSG which means resist against long range, weak against short range. In addition a chassis upgrade is needed.

Scout cube is adaptable (Intercept, Regen, EM and RM)

You should also consider that it takes time/skill to get a monsoon to elite status.
Overall it seems pretty balanced.

Well you don't build a monsoon with 40 def do you, and if your nooby enough to allow a monsoon to get to vet against borg then you deserve to lose.

Monsoons are countered by scubes so if the fed was building them vs you when you were building scubes then there should be no chance that ever happens.

If in a team game a monsoon gets to vet then it should be later in game which means if your still building scubes at this time well scubes still counter monsoons but even so again you deserve to lose for not teching up.
