Ive been playing online using borg on several maps and I must say that borg pathfinding is frustratingly bad.
The miners are the worst. First off we have no control of where the mining station appears. If it appears too close to the moon or at the wrong angle, the miners dance around the station and the moon, and does not dock. in heated games it is a real annoyance to have to keep wondering whyy ur dilithium is runnning low inspite of having miners at work only to have to look back and see the miners dancing around the station and moon with full containers!!
The construction ships cannot move if u place a structure to be built next to another object. they tend to get stuck in place.
Borg assiilators do not fire as well when in motion. they tend to be choppy when firing in motion. Feds cna easily keep fring in motion and kill them with intrepids and akiras (a few at that).
All borg ships tend to get stuck on map objects, and then separate out. it is always an extra effort to control them when moving around large maps with many obstacles like nebulae or asteroids. smaller maps are a nightmare as they get suck around the slightest corner.
on nirvana 8 borg cubes if coming out of a wormhole at once with the other fleets, tend to jump over the asteroids into enemy squares. which is rather silly.
These are the problems I see with borg ship movements.

There are a few other issues too, like ships getting stuck on one another when they get too close to one another....but yes, all these issues are really irritating

The annoying thing with the ships is when you give an order to change direction, they stop, fly in circle then head to the new direction. Rather silly. The most annoying thing is the borg mining station though.

Yes, that´s really annoying, especially when a whole fleet of borg ships gather at an enemy starbase and do nothing (apart from being blown up one by one) cause they´re stuck ,although i have seen this happening to all kind of fleets, not just borg.
And the funny thing is, when you destroy the obstacle, they still don´t go anywhere or shoot.
Of course this prob was rather ai related, i would know how to keep my ships working.
