borg and life surport

I know it's only a game but why do the borg need life surport? you see them on first contact when they are setting up that beacon on the reflecator they where in space with no form of suit on so why do the borg need life surport?

This is not critasism (plz ignor my bad spelling) the mod is great i love it and is there going to be any signal player missions all i keep getting is access denied

The Borg need a different kind of life support... for example alcoves, collective nodes and the like, so they also need life support systems on their vessels

maybe in future beta version single player missions could be integrated, but this is one thing we are not sure about now..
