i cood have swore i herd the pilets of sutals doing recuses on god ships. win thay got close to a bog ship thay whood say pasing the magnetic shelding.

just weird that borgs don't always have shielding, anyway

in starfleet command 3 the borg don't have shielding, jet in armada they do so i guess it's just depends on who writes the games and episodes

They have a subspace shield, that was mentioned when they were introduced into TNG.

I think in "Q-Who" Data said that the borg ship is equipped with some kind of magnetic shield that's like a dampening/sensor field of some sort... when a weapon passes through the shield..the sensors analyze it and adapt to it..So the Borg Cube's don't have bubble shields like the Fed's and Roms and Klingons do...but their adaptive shield system is linked to their sensors somehow.. I simply removed the shields from my borg cubes and gave them a hell of a lot of hull points and system hitpoints...a fleet of Fed ships got wiped out by one cube..but was damaged enough that the second fleet finished it off.

i think they are right, i think it was in that episode, too. data said something about that. i think on the brigde as he made his first analize of the cube after they "tried" to hit them

The cube locked a tractor beam on the Enterprise, Picard ordered Worf to find the location of the tractor beam and destroy it. He did and the Enterprise was free..Worf then fired 5 or 6 photon torpedoes at the cube and did massive damage..That's all she wrote for the Enterprise... the Cube adapted to the phasers and torpedes and when the Cube locked the tractor beam on the Enterprise again, Worf tried to destroy it, he couldn't. The Borg penetrated the Enterprise's shields and cut a small section out of the hull. The cube was like 65 percent damaged and continued to chase the Enterprise.. They even showed a close up of the Borg's hull repairing itself.

hm, i'd like to replace the borg shields from bubble to something else, but i don't know if possible. fleet operations borg vessels do have only basic shields anyway..
