Mines arnt super weapons, I hate unbalance as much as the nest person but I also like ideas.

Well mines were OK for the Defiant inA1 and A2 and if they put them in like they were there its OK and its not unbalanced ^_^

So thats what they were for? How bout a special ability given to nearly all fed ships that gives them mines for a cost of credits? Each ship capable drops 4 mines at a cost of all their special energy either automatically near enemys or when the player hits the button. They would stay in space for 5 minutes or something before disappearing if they don't find an enemy.

Uhhhh, that sounds like the Defiant's antimatter mines but I like the idea.

Yeah the defiant is so expensive in tritanium anyway, might as well add some more weapons. It's called a battlecruiser, right? And I agree that the critical shot thing needs to last longer, maybe 10 sec or something.

Defiant just needs some better Pulse Phaser recharge which it's gonna get, so that ship is fine.

by the way, we already change the firemode of the defaint. She fires no longer a burst, instead she got rapide fire

:unsure: i don't think mines fit that well to the federation. the federation would never ever equipp all their vessels with mines.
