I found another point which devs should make better. It´s the AI control for green, yellow, red alert and the further stuff to configure your ships behavior.
You should take brighter colors or make them blink. I always have problems to see if low movement authority is configured correct.

Yeah, I have that problem too. The only way I can compensate is to keep all my ships on the same status. The best way to do that is from the shipyards.

do you mean when ships are launched they carry the same alert status as the station they launched form? i never knew that.

Do that settings not just for your yard, do it for those 2 construction ships and the starbase at the beginning. Then all buildings will have those settings including your yard ;) (and all ships that come out).

I usually do that. The trouble is that I usually build alot of construction ships.

I build 7 plus replacements, and sometimes extras to send off to build colonies, and on other possibly suicidal missions.

when i start moving my construction ships around i push my fleets foward to cover em.

Usually, my fleets are all busy.
