I was wondering if you (the devs) could make an option, so that you could lower raise, or just plane out mute the beeping in fleetops when you press any buttons before launch

Part of this, is i have a mike, and the beeping is driving me crazy and i can hear people if i lower it to where i can stand the beeping, and i know others dont like the beeping either

Setting them to use the same volume button as post-launch buttons probably wouldn't be any more difficult than the other game changes.

Yeah true tyler, and i should have been more clear as well, even when you are not on a headset or mic it is unusually loud

just reduce the volume in the sound file, it wont break multiplayer compatibility.

I deleted the file personally.

Good idea, any idea what the file is called?

ermmmm now i dont remeber, since i vanquished it to the great abyss.

Its with all the other sounds, might be called button.wav

Just play a bunch that look possible.

Repair.wav is the one i think makes the horrible repair/decom sound, i vanquished that too.

Audacity is good for editing these sounds. Make sure to export in same format.

The files should be cornrclk for the button click and cornron for the button rollover. I replaced them with the cloaking device in my game and it changed.

just thought i'd update this thread, deleting sound files is no longer supported as of patch 3.1.4. editing sound files is still supported. so u can just go into the file and silence all of the sound. as long as u dont change the file name and format.
