Asteroids/iceteroids and planetoids stuff...

Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

Should asteroid/iceteroid fields(large and small...or maybe just large) effect sensors?

Should large fields be able to be flown through? Like just copy/pasting the current fields and removing impassibility to create a seperate set of fields. Have one for blocking and one for flying through. Or maybe have it doable in the map editor?

Now a question purely for the devs. Will there be ice versions of the planetoids already present or do you have some other different ideas for massive ice chunks if at all? (Titan AE anyone?)

Sensor effect: Yes. Not sure if the game engine allows for it though.

Fly through: Yes, dependant on the size of the vessel. Nothing more annoying than ships trapped in an asteroid belt they tried to cross. Once again, not sure if the game engine allows for this.

Question for the developers: cannot answer that one.

For number two, the visible layer and blocking have been separated, allowing you to choose. Same for any map object :).

More map objects and events are planned in the future - feel free to propose some

Heres an idea then, mining colonies.

Basicly, you build a base onto a rock, it continualy generates a steady trickle of resource.

Shield isnt that strong but the hull is nearly invulnerable, but it's vulnerable to being boarded.
