Assimilation Turret

Currently the borg have only one type of defensive structure w.i. the graviton torpedo launcher.

This does go against the borg doctrine of "assimilate when possible" however.
What i propose is the addition of a defensive structure with the weapon of a borg assimilator and possibly a tractor beam.

This could disrupt enemy assaults far more effective than graviton torpedo launchers alone.

Actually, the Borg doctrine tends to be, Assimilate to add perfection to our own.

E.g only assimilate if it's beneficial. Hence why the Kazon were never assimilated, they were deemed a reduction from perfection

I assume you mean the Kazon part?

Well search for Kazon on Memory Alpha, and around the bottom there's an article on it.

And if you're referring to the Borg Doctrine, it tends to be what they say every time they're involved in assimilating something

Species the Borg found unremarkable would be deemed unworthy of assimilation. As of 2374 the Borg considered the Kazon beneath their notice, and by 2376 they only took interest in the Brunali if they detected sufficiently relevant technology. (VOY: "Mortal Coil", "Child's Play")

the borg only assimilate when it will benefit them, they have plenty of drones and don't need to assimilate weak species.

they didnt assimilate all of wolf 359 ships, just some. the rest they simply destroyed to get them out their way.

shud be poss to re enter the info on borg turret odf and replace the torpedo with borg phaser or possibly holding beam not sure exactly how to do it,but the new game looks gr8,has any1 dun updated ship pics for all the custom ones ppl do?!

But that was because they wanted to strike at the heart of the federation first by assimilating earth.

Also TUN interesting mod. Get rid of those hero ships and the Tavara++++ and i'll give it a try.
