Armored Vessels?

Something i'd like to see is this: Armored Vessels and Armor-Piercing weapons. Basically, Armored vessels are heavy cruisers or something with enough power to withstand fleet bombardment for a time, but are vulnerable to armor-peircing weapons, and not that much attack power. What do you think?

im assuming you are referring to races other than the borg?

Yep, it would give you a bit more advantage against the borg since you could have something to eat fire in the later stages of the game.

I thought about armor too for quite some time, and there are some ideas to implement it however nothing is final yet
