Animated Battle Damage

Is it possible to have animated battle damage textures? The idea was that you could have a texture that would make the nacelle apear to be flashing as though it was broken or the deflector dish and some of the lights flickering. I just posted this idea elsewhere so thought that I might aswell have it over here aswell.

sawnds good. and you cood add posibal bern marks on the ships with flicring sparks or fiers in the bern marks.

is a good idea but i bet people will nag about it that it slows down the comp if your have a fleet of animated damaged ships, like the sweet shutlles around a base

I don't think slow downs would be a problem since your not really adding anything new to the ships except differant colors, and maybe some deformed hull. This is actually in FO to a limited degree, you notice it in mutara nebulas.

Im prety shure its not posible with a limited engine like the A2 engine.
