Is there an odf command that makes it so an object always renders no matter how far away from the camera it is? It seems by default this happens to objects with the "background_obj" classlabel, however I have a few rather large objects that are in the foreground that completely vanish unless you are right next to them. If such a command does not exist then I make this a humble request to include something of that nature.  :innocent:

Awesome, this will be a very, very handy feature for things like large moons in the foreground and otherwise large objects.

I'm not mistaken, this also would allow the camera to zoom out even further without objects fading out, which would be nice. I always feel like the Fleet Ops camera is just slightly zoomed in too much for me to be totally comfortable.

That's actually controlled separately (on a global level) - this is just to allow certain objects to always be rendered, even if they are on the opposite side of the map.

yes yes, i belive one of the files in the main directory can be altered to control how far away the camera zooms and the global dissaperence distance of objects.

This is epic news, it certainly will help tremendously with large background objects.
