Alternate Voyager Model

What do you folks think of this AWACS variant. Do you think it could make it into FO, possibly as a mixed tech unit or avatar specific unit?

I agree that the model used was better, but that AWACS design does have some interesting points.
Larger intrepid class with refit possibilities?

Good thing they planned for the plasma coils (in the warp nacelles) to be able to be exposed mid-flight. I can see why that would be SOO handy.

I actually kind of like the original design. Voyager to me was a little...lacking...in the flashy department.

Yeah, the AWACS version probably wouldn't have worked in the show, but it does have some interesting concepts and might make for a good post-Nemesis design.

I kinda like the way that warp nacells were attached (pylons???) but not the fins on the top and bottom. I also like the design of the AWACS but for a larger ship not the intrepid.

I don't think that would have worked.  It looks like a cross between a Warbird, Nebula class, Prometheus class, and Intrepid class with extra features.  It looks more like something the Federation would put up against a Borg cube than something they'd send after a 10-crew member Maquis ship alone.

That looks like the worst example of a kitbash without the kitbash aspect... like a Yeager that's supposed to look like it does.

The existing 'fat' Intrepid looks much better.

If you take off the nacelles and the AWACS pylons does the saucer and engineering hull kinda look the Nova class to anyone or is it just me?

The model has a sense of power about it, but the fin should definitely go.

Some of the other proposed designs:

Design no. 4 was WAY to plat on the back side of the hull.
