I'm watching Wrath of Khan right now in the scene where they are fighting in the Mutara nebula. I noticed that it is made of dark blue, dark purplish blue, some lighter purplish pink and orange, and some darker black-blue cloud-like shapes in a generally circular shape. Lighting is also very dark in some spots, and less in others, but generally dark.
Not much like the bright purple-pink nebs we have in FO. Also I can't remember whether FO Mutara have space lightning, but if they do I'm sure it's not as dramatic as the Wrath of Khan space lightning.
I really think the Wrath of Khan style is better, and would like to see it in FO someday.
