Admiral's Log (a commentators request)

Just a low priority request.

Have the admiral's log contain all of the information needed to submit a new replay entry in the replay DB, and the replay DB parse all of the needed info out of the admiral's log, so that commentators don't have to do this manually. 

Information that is missing currently from the admiral's log:
* Color
* Avatar
* Map Name
* Winner - understood that this one would be difficult without the implementation of a GG button (or something)

Information that is already in the admiral's log, but not currently parsed:
* Faction


This would make a commentator's life a tad easier, and would results in more accurate and complete information in the replay DB. Anything in this space would be appreciated, even if it is just considering it.

are  those changes not already planed? I thought i read something about changing the admirals log.

I hope they take your idea in consideration.

It probably is, I just couldn't find it + I wasn't sure if all of the details I had in mind were out there.


We could alternatively rename this request to "Keep Dom Sane". He's got a touch of OCD (in an endearing sort of way) and every time I upload a replay to the DB and I don't include the avatars, I can picture Dom killing a kitten.

They did they they plan on making changes to the AL but they didn't give specifics since its soon and too low priority to give any.

The changes that are planned so far are most likely aimed more towards the user and what they want, so I'd say this thread is totally justified, as it's asking for things to help our commenators. Nice ideas.

Should get a higher priority since the whole community will profit from it.
It would lead to help the caster that will lead to more viewers that will lead.... you know where i am getting ^^
