A2 compatability

hi just a suggestion to get a2 more compatable with fo
could the following sprite files be integrated from a2
gui_map.spr (not really needed but helps with mini map images)
weapon.spr
planets.spr
nebula.spr

this helps with adding a2 weaponry and maps

This, absolutely this! It would be nice to play the older maps again(and even from A1 aswell) without recreating them.

a1 maps i dnt think is possible bu2 i have a2 maps in my fo (altho there are issues with the astroid fields

in fleetops the blocking trigger is distinct from asteroid fields and other associated objects. i believe that would cause issues with asteroids from a2 maps.

i dont think this is a mod, its a suggestion for fleetops.

its not a mod in the normal sence but a developer kit (contains all the specials and features from a2 to test in fo to help keep the a2 aspects alive while allowing modders to use the a2 stuff in fo

Oh.  How many a2 features will this developers kit have?  And approximately how far along is this kit?

as many as i can get working and atm ive got a2 maps ingames with all there stuff (planets etc and all the fed specials

Exactly what did you do to get stock A2 stuff working in Fleet-Ops so well?  Everything I've tried eventually lead to a crash somewhere along the way.

made sure sprite files are present and all odfs, sods and textures were there

I did the same thing.  But it still crashed.
