Well i have four things this mod needs.

1-What about the Cardassians ?
2-What about the Species 8472 ?

3-And the third is more important for me. It's about assimilation texture.
Some ships when they are assimilated, i can see a little modification and some ships don't have any texture modification (Assimilation Texture like original Star Trek Armada).
Example:

-When an Intrepid Class is assimilated, i can see a little modification by the assimilation.
-When a Galaxy Class is assimilated, i can't see any modification in the texture and the Galaxy appears normal for me.

4-And about the future versions, because this mod is very very great, no words can classify this great mod. Will include new races ? Will include full assimilation textures ?

Welcome to the site.

Cardassians will be minor NPC's but aren't done, 8472 will be map units but also aren't done.

Assimilation is only a placeholder, futute versions will have complete assimilation on all units. Other units will also be included in future.

Let me see if i understand.

The Cardassians and Species 8472 will be a playable race. Not a full playable race, but you will control a Galor, Keldon, Hideki and a Species 8472 Bioship.

Is it???

I like Species 8472 because they can't be assimilated, it's a Anti-Borg race. And a player can create new strategies with this advantage.

In the future versions, if a Species 8472 turn a minor playable race, a new upgrade to fight against the Species 8472 must be included in the Federation Techtree. Like the Mix-Tech between Federation and Borg found in the Janeway Intrepid Class.
And the Other Races (Romulan, Cardassians, Klingons, Dominion and Borgs) can discover new technologies to resist and attack more effectively the Species 8472 to balance the game.

It's a good idea.

they wont be playable, u wont be able to choose them from start

kinda like ferengi. they will be placed on maps.

Everything you mentioned will show up sooner or later.

1,2) As mentioned Cardassians and 8472 will show up as NPC races (though I'm certain many are going to mod the Cardassians in since lots of people want them playable). Based on what I know you'll be able to control Cardassian ships somehow. NPC race details are low at the moment though.

3) Assimilation textures are being added more and more with each patch (a lot of Fed ships are done atm)

4) Three more playable races are being added in: Noxter, Ciadan and Iconians

I have an Idea.

If in the future versions include something like Mercenary Station that you can buy mercenaries ships.


And the Cardassian ships can be included, Son'a Battleship and other ships like Ferengi Marauder.


It's a good idea to think about, isn't it ?

I don't know if the Armada II Engine can accept something like Mercenary Station.

I've mentioned this idea myself in the past and it was met by the Developers with positivity.  I thikn we shall see oodles of fun ways to use the NPC's in the coming redoes so never fear! 

  As Optec always says "I'm sure there will be a way to play with a Galor or two" :D

And the Cardassian ships can be included, Son'a Battleship and other ships like Ferengi Marauder.


  Actually I think that the Son'a are planned as a third avatar for the Dominion in the future.

Ferengis can be an option in the Mercenary Station.

Because Ferengis are mercenaries by nature.

I give another idea, the newer versions can include the Hirogen race as Full race or Mercenary race. What do you think???

With Mercenary Station you don't need to include a full race with workers, freighters in the Fleet Operations, only the main Ships of any race.

Of course, need to include more full races to play, it turn the Fleet operations more and more attractive because the diversity of strategies.

As i understood, the future versions will have a lot of diversity. Many races to play, It's very good, turn the game more flexible.

  Ferengi are profiteers by nature!!  :D  B)  Remember tat DS9 episode where the Dominion are in control of the station and the Ferengi on board are trying to learn how to be guerrilla commandoes?  :D  Didn't work out so well.

  I'm SURE that Optec will find some cool way for us to play with Ferengi.

  As for the Hirogen, you might check the "project progress" section of the Forums in the left-hand toolbar.  Optec keeps that up to date.  Pretty sure Delta Quadrant races will just be map objects ^-^.
