I use same configuration, except I usually build one regeneration module and armour module instead of two armour modules.

well, the tactical cube is meant to be the badass ship for warfare. so everyone else has to throw in whatever they got to stop this ship.
thats not really "cheap", thats how the borg are - constantly getting stronger and stronger. and thats what i love the fleetops team for, cause now the borg feel like borg

Even though the combo you mentioned is veeeery powerful... how many resources does it take to get to that point? You have to raise your priority with 3 research thingies, and then you have to build a whole ton of borg ships just to get to that final priority level, while being harrassed by Fed continuously. Playing LAN I'd say it is relatively balanced, because it just takes forever plus a huge amount of resources to get to that point. Plus, if you don't go for the research because you are being harrassed and need to make ships, it takes something like 15 borg spheres to reach that point where you can build the cube.

the three priority researches, a few scout cubes, some assimilators and 2 pyramids.
Wait a while for your supply to come back up and your resources to trickle in with priority..
Hey Presto you have a c00b.
Not cheap, and you'll go bankrupt making them if you dont have a large economy, but still.

And while you're waiting, the Fed has built up a massive fleet full of Akiras and Excelsior IIs, with a number of weapon killing Defiants thrown in for good measure.. Bye bye Borgy... Same thing when facing a Romulan player with Generix class + support refit or even a Klingon player with enough Vor'Chas...

Oh, its precarious, you have to rely on being left alone long enough or being able to hold off the enemy, that said, once you have a few tactical cubes its game over.

Yeah I gotta say, borg are micro intensive; which is the way I like it. Still, often the only thing stopping me from complete death is using a combo of the shield breaker torp and the cutting beam. Borg are hard to get going, most definitely

This "attack cube" you mentioned....it's nice.
But as I attacked a dominion starbase my cube lost 10 health (and one assimilator helped). Okay, the cube destroyed the starbase quite fast. Then I tested a cube with full body armor, 1x regeneration and 3x holding beam modules. Its offensive value was about 85 or something and its defensive value about 200-210. It took hoooouuurs to take one starbase down. But even as there came some small fighters the cube didn't even lost one health point. It was hilarious. Real fun to watch.

Heres an idea, the defiant class was designed to fight borg, so make it more affective towards bor, and you could do thjat with other ships toward other races to

For some reason, Defiants are barely affected by Borg weaponry.

Over the time that I've had FO 3.0, I've noticed that there are also 3 other highly balanced choices: Defense, Attack, and Assimilation.
and
. Now, while there are main vessels, there are also sub-sub-divisions. I will write more later.
