The AI in my game doesn't even build capital ships.

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

I've never come across a NeghVar or a Warbird or a cube diamond or tactical cube in my game for that matter anybody know how to remedy this?

How long have your AI games lasted?

A fair while can't put an exact number on it unfortunately the  :borg: in this game are hopeless I put the build time low I leave them be but all they do is send pyramids spheres and assimilators against me, not challenging at all.

I have seen the AI   :borg: build cubes and the others built their capital ships.. it just takes them lots of time.. around 40mins-1hour for them to get to cubes and stuff.. mabye your not playing long enough..  it seems to me that if you give them enough time to build up then they start to build capital ships.. after patch 3.0.3ish they seemed to build capital ships instead of staying with assimilators and other ships like that. do you have the latest patch.. because with 3.0.5a they do build cubes but they never seem to do anything with them but hide them in the corner of the map.. mabye thats your problem...

I have noticed that on AI medium, no cubes were built an hour and a half into the game, thats when I decided to stop messing around and win. :D  Any way, what level are you playing at?

It was me and 2 AI meds vs 3 AI hards. meds were rom and fed.. i was klingon.. the AI hards were borg and i noticed at late game that they had cubes but they were sitting in a cluster in the far corner of the map near their base.. normaly i play on medium. My buddies were not doing well.. the feds just built a couple of ships and that was it.. the romulans made it to cahelr ships (not spelt right) but they only had 4-5 ships because the borg had attacked us with assims and spheres w/ pyramids until i noticed they werent attacking so i went to investigate ant they had there entire fleet in one corner of the map just sitting there.. so i decided to attack them but they still didn't move.. they did fire back but just sat there.. so i finaly destroyed their base and their fleet but other than there fleet shooting and not moving after me and thier base defense they didn't offer mutch resistance so im not sure whats goin on but it seems that after the borg get cubes the don't attack at all.

Strange. Mine sends large quantities of everything, including Cubes... (when the AI is a Hard Borg). Dunno what to say.

Hmm well with me when they are on med they attack and everything but they don't seem to get to cubes.. on hard they get to cubes but they never use them.. so i have no idea whats going on.. mabye they have too many ships.. and they can't use them?  :hmmm:

Sounds like a pathfinding problem.

Well I'm not playing one round for 1.5 hours forget it lol, and no they don't even build any cubes or diamonds at all I'm thinking of uninstalling the whole game it's getting on my nerves, even though Armada 1 got a bit rediculous at times it was still much more fun than this. Oh and I'm always playing on hard. Huge number of spheres and scout cubes and assims but nothing else it's lame.

Having watched them do their thing with a broken but cloaked K'vort (they killed it's engines, and I managed to cloak it.  Wanted it back, cause it was rank 5) in their base, the borg usually won't deploy the cubes until they are part of a full fleet.  If the AI controls more than 2 sets of moons, it deploys more and more capital ships as well.  Basically, if they have lots of Resource Nodes built, (even, strangely, all side-by-side) they will likely dispatch cubes at you every time they reach enough 'extra', but always keep a few in the base.  They also tend to deploy 1 diamond per cube, 2-3 spheres per cube, 3 assimilators per cube, and 4 scout cubes per cube.  If they don't have enough ships, they hold off on the attack.  Those numbers are estimates based upon what they flung at my 'Mayson Torpedo Experiment'.

@ s'klar

Thats kind of what they do.  They taunt you with a fleet. :sweatdrop: I once played a game so long, I had two Identical bases both fortified have been able to get th with torpedo platforms.  Nothing shoud have been able to get through, but the Borg has somehow amassed 30+ cubes,  And you guessed it, they sat almost patrolling the upper left hand corner of the map.  It was kind of creepy.

Yeah, it's lke they're trying to break out of that game and enter others.

Anyway, I've seen Cubes attack unlucky people. Including me! :crybaby: I wasn't prepared... :crybaby: :crybaby:

Maybe its a blessing not to be attacked by them because whenever they attack me they end up taking out quite a few of my ships.
