New level of cheapness against borg

You know.. i was playing a 1 vs 1 game with a romulan foe.
I saw that he was building a griffin and rienn army and so i statred building 3 dode army.
I had to left my dode in my expansion to protect it in duel 1.2...
and focused my attention on building a sphere.
When i went back t the expansion, my dode was all romulan
because the romulans transported men onto my ships while cloaked.
I lost half my ships and I couldn't event counter it since I coulsn't see them.
Maybe the scubes and dodes should have  more men on the ships so it won't be so easily boarded.

lol......... get incubation centers if people start cloak transporting...

funny thing about them is that you can put them at expansions to auto recrew ships since incubes have some good hull

I think better cloak detection is on the way and will solve the problem. Scubes have 500crew already, more than most battleships, shouldn't be that hard to protect them or simply fly away.

I think the best way is to prevent transporting when a ship is cloaked... this may lead to abuse during the early game when we don`t have much and every ship counts. An idea for next patch...  :borg:

nah ships should be able to transport while cloaked, to help fight people who steal ships as they are cloaking, as you can have other ships beam to the ship.

also the scube does have a very good crew, allowing it to engage in transporting itself, and the transporters make a lot of noise so you shouldnt really miss a beaming.

Wait wait... Romulans captured a dode by transporting? 

  Am I crazy or shouldn't this bepractically impossible?  Scubes have 500 crew.  How mug do doses have?

900, same as an Assembler. Possible, just extremely difficult unless they don't notice. You'd probably have enough ships to take out the base without the Dode, anyway.

They do, but however large the crew is, they still only send 3 people at a time. A fairly sizable number of ships would be needed to take it in time, since you need to send enough crew quickly enough to get it before they notice.

10 ships beaming is 30 dudes per second, for 900 crew is 30 seconds unattended, which isnt a huge ask. 3 rhienns and 7 griffins have more than enough crew. i seem to remember ships cancelling transporters when they hit yellow crew level.

Yea i think your right but if they are paying attention to their ships it is a quick 30 seconds

If they have time because of an unattentive enemy. Does boarding trigger the 'enemy engaged' marker? Them not noticing is the key.

as fallout says, beaming doesnt give an alert. although the transporter noise is quite loud. i hear it from 1 expansion away easily.

I think it would be nice to have a warning if someone boards your ship. Intruder alert! :thumbsup:
