So how do people feel about Nanites in late game 3v3?
From my point of view they are just imba if the teams can get instant cube killing fleets...today I lost 20+ V13 that could not kill anything...they had engines disabled all the time and weapons most of the time...I could not do anything.

haha...dont let it come to this... maybe splitting up your fleets would be good and then attack from different sides?

Hmm, they tried
. Well, we had 3ships using nanites(2cheap cubes - no tactical ones' and a Diamond). Plus 1 or two pyramides. But as you can see already we(Elim and me) weren't kept from getting all those things. The early game was pretty much undecided, our 3rd team mate zebh(Rom) was taken out of the game pretty much by a Warbird fleet(Dragonfire) while Megadroid(Feds) and Drrr(Dom) expanded quite fast and killed quite a lot of ships. The nanites were the turning point in the game BUT I think they are supposed to be like that. There is no ther way for Borg to fight fleets of larger ships but using nanites. It needs ages to build a transmission matrix, it needs a long time to build a cube(let alone two).
It's like letting a Fed get a fleet of Souvereigns. I think you simply didn't use the advantage you had in medium game. Dragonfire could have taken down our bases, Drrrr should have stopped to build T-15's, but he built them quite long, even though I built assims against it. Well and Mega did an interesing Nova/sabre spam. never saw that before but it worked out until late game. Those sabres were incredible tanks

I had around 7 T15...to counter the scube spam and Leavhals. To counter your Assims I build bombers and counted on Rom Warbirds.
I started producing V13 from 2 yards...the others had armadas too.
However nothing could beat the nanites...my ships died in no time at all. 20 V13 within 1-2 min.
The effect should be capped to 3-4 ships as most other aoe specials are.
The nanites were the turning point in the game BUT I think they are supposed to be like that.
Any strat that makes the game an instant loss is lame and not balanced. It cant be that there is no way out once you are in such situations. This time it is not about preventing cubes or anything. It is about a strat that cant be countered no matter how many ships you produce (except purp beam spam which is as lame as nanite spam).

I agree that in a fleet battle can be pretty nasty. Nevertheless I saw Diamonds and Cubes with nanites going down several times. It's not impossible. Cubes are slow, go for Borgs mining/base(not starbase) instead. I think yout team was using too friendly tactics Drrr
. There were no C-17, S7, HSA, no Excelsior 2/Souvereigns/Defiants(!), the warbirds did quite of a punch. One of the fleets that did most damage to us were the sabres(!) in Elims base
. There should have been more offensive tactics, since we were outgunned quite soon after zebh went down.
I didn't want to say that Nanites should be out of balance, but they are weapons of mass destruction which the Borg need in order to be able to compete with the large warship fleets of the other races late game. Similar to polaron field and Sovereign special. And dreadnoughts.

Nanite counter: Tactics. Dont have everything in range at once. Dont have your ships bunched.
Do that, only SOME will be disabled.

no way in 3v3 lategame battles...we attacked from 3 directions and the borg just spammed nanites in all directions

In a case like that .........

In that Case weapon disabeling Defaints.
I think special weapons need weapons systems to be online + Exel2 with special (are Nanits Longrange?) + Sovering (after Weapons are down) + a first wave of cheap light ships to trigger the nanits. Some Ari Exel 2 and Ari warpins are a nice to have to.
As Dom S7 or Breen Battleships. S7 can take alot of damage, Breen Battleships with the special
, bugs (so they can't come close)
And where was the V15
.
As Rom
SERKAS!, maybee some torp Rhiens
Played on lan against a borg player. But it was very few times he got nanites.

Yeah w/o weps active you get no cloak no specials nothing.
as for bait ships, depends if the nanites are on auto or not.
If not on auto then the player can easily just wait.

Sure
But how would a borgplayer with nanites react if some intrepits with tricobald or some bombers are attacking. Wait until the cubes did take a lot of damage because there are more ships?
Even against bugs he had to do something or the fleet will float dead in space.

Romulans actually have the best response to cubes with their cehlaers and generix supports. It's all about weapon disables.
Feds have a rough time, but at least they can use point defense against the 200-damage torpedo of doom. Among other things.
Dominion have a ton of engine disables, from bug ram to IS bomb to dampening torpedo/coreblast.
