LuSpet Nerfed?
You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

In previous versions the LuSpet's standard torpedo ability was quite effective with its direct damage thingy. Though I for one have noticed that now the LuSpet only lasts half as long against the same enemies that it was quite effective against in 3.07 and 3.06. I used to be able to effectively defend against a group of 6 or 8 destroyers with only a pair of Luspets (give or take a B'rel too). They were very effective anti-destroyer ships. But now, it can't even knock out a Monsoon before the Monsoon takes its shields out. I was wondering if a little adjustment could be considered.
- The smaller the target is, the more damage dealt (after all, it causes explosions on the hull, meaning smaller hulls would lose larger percentages per an effective hit)
- A slight shot time reduction would not hurt.
- Damage cut to less-than-half on borg vessels.
- All targets with a defensive value below 25 gets an additional bonus of damage (additional bonus proportional to the weapons range of the ship, since long ranged ships are not necessarily meant to be durable like short range ships)
- When the feild of fire is launched, there will be a 10 second disabling of the torpedo weapon (only the torpedo, not the beam) for balance.
- Stations get no more than 60% of average damage due to larger hull constucts and higher defenive value
- Any ships equipped with special armor of any kind gets a damage reduction (for balance)
- Any ships that get additional damage from the torpedo gets reduced damage from the beam (for balance)

remember that there are destroyers that are more effective against certain targets now, thats true for all vessels. the damage per second dealt by the cluster torpedoes did not change

Well, could there be a readjustment?

YOu mentioned a group of 8 destroyers. Were you talking about "Field of Fire" - it's special AoE?
If you were, then it wasn't nerfed - it's the same essentially as it was in 3.0.7. It's not weak, it's just that the more you have the more damage it will do. Same guidelines as the Plasma Coil.
If you're just talking about the Cluster Torpedo standard weapon, then no it's not nerfed, you're just attacking a destroyer with a torpedo-based battleship. It's gonna miss 60% of the time.
And I really doubt a Monsoon is going to defeat a Luspet regardless

I think the LusPet is quite well-suited for the Borghunting tasks and anti-capshipping now.
It's a battleship. Destroyers surrounding it are deadly for most big ships. And it does a lot of damage anyways, so in bigger fleets they make great additions.
