really enjoy the new AI with the patch, as it provides a great challenge overall, but the Klingon AI seems to stumble in a loop mid game as it never builds anything greater than a vorcha, nor make more than 1 khaless station or expand to more than 1 extra set of moons, havent seen it make 1 negvahr in 1v1 situations even on large maps, not sure if this issue has been addressed yet, but its the only AI hard i can regularly beat as long as i make it to the mid game period.

Sounds like the Federation has got the Klingons late-game AI.

I have also noticed this. Though not with the federation. The feds seem to rush for sovvies asap and then spam with them, which, is tbh the only strategy the feds have ever had.

The klingon AI though needs a lot of work. It never builds negh'vars (or at least, not in serious numbers) and doesn't do well in any game I've played against them.

maybe they never build Negh'Vars because Negh'Var's are horrible raiding ships and not because the ai is broken :p, just a thought.

So the Negh'Var ain't good enough for them?

Make yourself a fleet of 8 Vor'cha, and 6 K'Vort, and park them cloaked near the enemy base.  Distract him with a raid, and send them in the back.  It should be obvious why the computer doesn't build bigger ships.  He should'nt have much of a base left if he doesn't bring his ships back immediately, and what he does bring back is gonna have problems.  The Negh'var is simply too slow, can't cloak, and isn't enough of a power boost to make it a good strike ship over Vor'cha.

It's a great picket-line ship, though.  Weapon overload will usually pick something out of an incoming wave before it even gets a shot off.
