i noticed that the feds tend to focus on building alot of the smaller vessels and then send them out in waves which is fine for early on, however later on in the game the enemies usually have lots of heavier cruisers so they end up getting slaughtered right away........outside of that i think this is probably one of the best mods i have played for any game. 

please keep up the excellent work and realize that there are lots of people playing this mod even if they dont know about the forums.  i personally got my brother and 2 friends hooked on this beast.

Yes we also noticed some problems in general Federation gameplay. A Federation Redo is planned for the near future (probably patch 3.07 or 3.08) adjusting their gameplay a bit There are also some interessting discussions about that topic you might want to take a look into
