You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

Okay, so really only two faults here, if you'd call them faults, but when playing against the Klingon and Dominion sides, I've noticed they build a lot of ships (and I mean a lot) and then just have them flying around in groups.

Typically, they'll fly around in the same area, only attacking what comes to them. It's good to have some defence, but a little offence wouldn't go amiss either. Seems to be far too many ships on the battlefield not actually going much.

I'd say this applies to the Klingons more than the Dominion, but still.

So what exactly is your point here?  :ermm:

i think he is talking about an ai issue. fleetops isnt meant to be played against ai. so instant action play isnt really gonna match the fun of multiplayer.

Dont worry, I'm sure there are dozens or more personal mods fixing that.

1:    AI's will NEVER be as good as a human player

2:    Fleetops is balanced for multiplayer.

You'll find few of your suggestions implemented if they are just desires to use against the AI.

Unless of course the suggestions are ones that can be fixed in the AIPs and other AI files  :sweatdrop:

Nope not really because in the AIs case you really cant fix stupid.

Agreed, no matter how good a mod is, it'll always be limited by the fact that the 'professionals' that made A2 sucked worse than the majority of fan moders.

The A2 AI was sadly rushed by Activision - according to Optec it was looking to be quite a nice system  :(

It is a kinda sad world where mod makers create more polished work than what is put out by many "professional" development studios...

But on the other hand they (professionals) have deadlines and costs to consider... fans do what they can when they can.

It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare.  ^-^

With professionals, there is also the chance of executive meddling forcing unwise or unnecessary changes.

You mean like Activision and IW.

Somehow, this all just makes me think of Games Workshop and Mythic.  I wonder how much GW has been pulling their hair out about that.
