You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

AKA the Bug ship. Ive noticed this a couple of times already but today it really pissed me off. I was playing on some small map vs and AI and as we all know, the smaller the map the more AI dominates (because not enough resources are available to you :S). So anyway I was producing attack destroyers on 2 yards so Id be able to hold the middle, everything was going smoothly untill my ships decided its Ram  Time.
I was flying them around, trying to exploit Klingon early short range and fire arc limitations and when I flew by them, like 4 of my ships just blew up. It seems they just rammed the Klingons without me telling them to. Well sure Klingon ships died too, but mine were ranked-up and we had them outnumbered -.-
Im just wondering if this is a bug or its intended to act that way?

Cause I lost the game because of that stunt, in a similar matter my ships proceeded to ram themselves to extinction - out of 16, 4 were left so I was forced to retreat. When doing that the Klingons just crushed my mining expansion and that was it, basically :'(

Well it could be worse, they all could be ramming a spam of Federation fighters.  :shifty:   :D

Actually, ramming Bops is the same deal in my eyes :P They would never capture my ships anyway lol and they were easy pickings, or so I thought  :pinch:

I don't have much experience playing Dominion. Is it possible you need to disable their special weapon autonomy?

SaoMagnifico is exactly right. Just always give A-20's no special weapon autonomy

You cant actually set special autonomy on the bug ships. Well at least it used to be like that, have to check it again :S

I know for a fact that this is the first version they started doing this on their own, regardless of the special autonomy.

EDIT: I was right, you cannot change the special weapon autonomy on the Attack Destroyer. So what is the reason they ram by themselves then? -.-

you could change special weapon autonomy at the yard =)

Since ramming doesn’t use special energy, assuming that works what would yellow alert do?  :)

Try keeping your fleet in motion. I noticed that bugs do this by themselves, too, so if you keep your fleet selected and moving they shouldn't be able to collide.

... Hopefully. :( :ermm:

Yeah, I thought I'd noticed this in MP games when it seemed as if my opponents were able to manipulate 5-6 Bugs all independently in under a second... to destroy my expensive cruisers all in one hit  :whistling: . In this case, that strategy worked wonders  :sweatdrop:

Mine never rammed without order. Setting special weapon autonomy to work on them should stop it, it stops Troop ships from boarding.

You cannot change special weapon autonomy on Bug ships according to Baron. :whistling:

Well check it for yourselves :P They just dont have buttons to do it lol, though you can change it at the yard, dunno if that will effect the ships though.

I was doing that lol, just as I passed my fleet through theirs, my bugs (and their ships) all blew up :S :D
It was quite a sight, but when the AI usually outnumbers you like 10 : 1, its not very practical in AI games lol

...I seem to remember changing the yard did nothing (and no buttons on the Bugs)... plus they should be set on no weapon autonomy anyway... However, I'm at work so it'll have to wait 'till I'm home

I said setting it to work on them, not setting them low. As in odf's.
