You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

well, we all know the dom bugs tend to ram ships.
but now i noted someone just sending a few wings of bugs in my attack fleet to waste the support ships, before sending his fleet against me. As it looks on the first look like a good idea from his side (actually it IS a good idea). i noted it is very hard to keet the support ships alife if somebody does this. As fed player i seriosly need my support ships and we all know that the most fed ships are quite crappy without em. So far i only found one way to stop the suicide runs, and that was the sovreign. I just cant understand why i need to most expensive ship that i can build to counter a ship that is aviable from start.

i hope some of you guys can tell me some ways to counter this suicide stuff without wasting a shitload money into ships which i usally dont use.

thanks :sweatdrop:

One thing you should do is have ships with long weapons range attack the bugs to prevent losing your more important ships. That way you could actually have your fleet survive in time to attack the main fleet.

Yes, I believe the Bugs indeed make it hard for any race to tech up, as the little things can annihilate most cruisers (if not all) in one hit (meaning Bugs are still more cost effective then teching up to the Dominion's own cruisers).

Other than the possibility that the bugs might be doing more damage than intended (I rarely use them, too much micro) this seems like a perfectly valid strategy and something the Dominion would do in the show if ships in the show worked like they do in FO.

it would be cool if we could get them to automatically ram an enemy after they lose life support, of some sort of damage trigger.

That is exactly the sort of thing we don't want to happen. Ever wonder why there is no special weapons autonomy on Bugs in the first place?

Simplifying gameplay is precisely what is not needed--even if it seems like a perfectly valid strategy Binks, nobody wants to play with only tier 1 units for a lengthy game. Comparing the game to the show never works because things aren't balanced or logical on the show ;)
