Credits and their "Replacement"

Hi guys, my first topic, let´s see if i survive to start another someday 
As we all know, credits are gone for good, now certain ships and designs are limited by themself. What do you think about that ? Better as before or worse ?
For me, it hast a mixed feeling to it, while i was happy about having a lot of mirandas (one of my favourite ships btw), when playing romulans i was rather sad (only 1 or 2
).
And one problem i have is that in no way you can change the values, for example, choosing more than 20 credits before allowed you to modify a game overall for all races. Now when i play borg, i go OH damn i can´t have anything i want. A way to adjust this would be nice, though i know it´s difficult in regard to certain ship types.
And a question, why did credits go to hell in he first place ?

hmm, i somwhat agree with you, at first i was like oh yea, as for roms this give you tavara cloaking and a very good intel center, but then my feelings got mixed
they got mixed because of mainly 2 reasons
#1 the feds, although i like risner, as she gets the avalon and phalanx and warpin, i was a bit dismayed by mayson, he dosent have anything special, and miranda would be good addition to him (my favorite ship) but it wasnt
#2 the feds warp in, omg its gotten bad, 2 descents is not enoughm, and neither are 9 smaller ones, the feds need some more warp in and decreased warp in time
#3 it wasnt only feds, the kligon get only one special station, thats worse then feds!
#4 not so effective for borg it seems,
oops that want 2, rom and dominion seem to be okay but in order of need kligon, then fed, need help, and borg needs a little
and i agree itd be nice if you could increase the amount of spaces, like 1.5 times spaces

You can get basically an infinite amount of warp in ships if you keep them alive.

yeah, all you need is 2 fully ranked up descents and then if you rank up the other warp in ships you can keep warping them in.

yeah, but do you know how much time that would take,
i agreed with lengthening the cooldown time, but 250 seconds! that needs to be brought down a bit, and then to get a dboule gold descent, its very hard

but it should still count towards fed strenght vs klings.

Indeed. So if you guys could stop moaning about the free ships of the Feds it would be greatly appreciated. This ship will not decide a battle, let alone a game.

yeah really, the descent isnt like a really powerful ship, in fact its not half of a tavara, its got the strenght of a sovie, which we all know isnt alot, it has good sheilds, but not alot of power to take enemies down, you need weapons to kill enemies, you cant just have sheilds
and like ares just saids, i am also sick of you guys moaning about it, you have to pay for the station, and then you get two descent, yeah thats an amazing bonus after all your sovies are gone because of the warbirds, and the tavaras took out your descents
guys main point, descents are not game changers, they are slow vessals, who sheild recharge only really affects to vessals, them selves and the freindly vessal thats being attacked, but there so slow they cant keep up with most fleets,
they dont even change alot of the early battles in the early game

it would help if there defense was alot stronger, and they had at least 50 attack, and you could warp in two, then it might help

Going by looks, the Descent seems like it was designed for muscle. Strange that it is a joke of a Starfleet ship.

hm, i don't know what you dont like about the descent. she is very heavy armored and can refresh the shields of multiple vessels, thats probably one of the most powerful special abilities we currently have in Fleet Operations - if used in the right way 
We are quite happy with the ship limits as they are at the moment and they will probably stay that way. Supply serves as our "soft" limit for mass production, as its not realy a hard limit, but increases the costs of vessels. a few detials about supply might change in the next patches, thats currently in evaluation

I can only think of one thing that I'd like to see for the Descent. A very slight increase to her speed so that I can move her up with the other ships to use her special before they start dying. If I keep her right up with them, she takes all fire and I have to fire the special off early. Hold her back far enough to not take all fire, and she has a hard time getting into position in time. Otherwise, she's great.

although yes the defense, and the sheild rachrage is nice heres the problems:
#1 defense is okay, but needs to be higher, seriously, other races have special ships with much higher defenseive value
#2 sheild rachagre is nice save to a few things, A. it usually only affects the descent and one other ship because the enemy focuses attack on one ship B. in order to affect another ship, that ship has to be quite close to it
#3 its slow, it cant keep up with alot of fleets
#4 its weapons are not good at all, there the same as the sovie, and thats not enough, werapon needs a big increase if it want to make a difference, i like the defense, but you cant win with only defensive stragtageys, you need offense also
