Bortas Automated Attack Probe no damage?

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

Today i was playing klingons against a couple of Merciless Borg Ai.

For my last borg base i didn't have enough ships for a direct assault on the Assimilation Center so i thought I'd use my 3 Bortas with the Automatic Attack Probe to soften up the target before my main force arrived.

I moved them close to the target, checked they had full special energy and engaged the Ai for the bortas.
Followed by this i heard the bortas deploy the probes and i thought i'd watch the fireworks. To my surprise the drones either fired at some unseen foe or they fired and did no damage whatsoever to the borg assimilation center.

Can anyone confirm this observation? Did the attack drones get this nerved they hardly do any damage?

Edit:
Extra information: The bortas did not have any experience yet.

I'm pretty sure the Bortas's attack probe is broken ATM. Lemme see if i can whip up a temporary fix...

So i wasn't imaging it. Now i have to do without my favorite special warfare weapon.

Can you shed some light on how it will be changed?

it will be targetable and destroyable, but it deals larger portions of damage ^-^

May I ask if you will be planning on doing something similar to the E'Djen's Scrambling Probe as well? (a bunch of those render any fleet useless pretty much... no movement and no weapons for 1.5 minutes  :whistling:
