Borgs need better cloak detection
You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

Hi. It's been a while since I wrote in the forum. I would like to mention that my favorite race (borg) has one of the worst cloak detects in the game and that it needs balancing. I was once in a game and used my interceptor to detect for cloaked ships on my minimap by giving supply. I realized that there was a large cloaked kingon fleet near my moon base. But since I could not detect the cloak ship or uncloak them unless i engage them with EM cube, I could not engage the fleet while they were cloaked. I also couldn't put a cloak detect turret because they would destroy it right away. Other races have ability to detect cloak (e.g. feds have scout, romulan have scout)... can borg have a method to uncloak ships or detect them while cloaked in the next patch so we can kill ships while cloaked.

I am very confident that they will get it. The current template of ships/stations that we have (since 3.1) has evolved quite a bit on it's own and I'm sure the Devs know where each race lacks.
I hate to hear myself saying this but, "Be patient, I am confident something new is coming up soon".

I never tryed this because i dont play Borg, but how about Nanites?
If they disable the weapons system the cloak will drop.

The problem about nanites: you need an expensive building(1200dil/600tri) to get them and you can only use them with a cube or Diamond
.
So, you are right about them as useful cloak detection, but you don't always have a cube or Diamond.

There is a second problem. You heve to research them. And if the points are spend for other researchs you can't take Natrides anymore.

If you don;t mind stationary detection, you can currently give the Dode Turret th ability to detect cloaked ships.

in the example here that isnt a good choice, as in the time it takes you to build/move a dodeca over there, they might have moved, and if they are still there, a couple low level destroyers could decloak and kill it while deploying.
dodeca pings are useful, just not in this case.

If the Borg vessel chassis are the same in the redo, then make it so that the dode with a specific module can detect cloak. Or make it so that the probe can send out tachyon pings in a similar fassion to the Veteran Canaveral's Mytron Pings.

dode doesn't have advance cloak so it can't see ships with advance cloak

sadly the only borg way to decloak advanced cloakers is to use nanites, since that works on any ship. its not really a huge problem as there arent many ships with advanced cloak currently. talon scouts would be the main target.

He said main target, the Talon should be the only one that has it by default; the others need refits or large amounts of experience.
