Borg vs Other

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

OK, so I just got done playing a game and, I realized a major advantage against the Borg.  I remembered the build time setting, and was wondering what it would do for the Borg.  So here is the point; if you were to play any race head-to-head against the Borg, and set the build time all the way down, you would gain a major advantage against the Borg, because of the way their ships are built. Think about it and tell me if I am wrong. ^-^

Sure, but why would you want to play a game like that?
If you were to set the resources to infinite, races with the quickest build time would win (probably Klingons... or if priority were finished... Borg). Really, the only controls that are meant to be fiddled with are game speed and weapon damage (besides the obvious NPC and ally trade etc). The rest just screw up the balance way to much (even weapon damage screws up some major things against races with very impressive armor).

So what's your point?  :sweatdrop:

Actually, I would never play a game like that.  :sweatdrop: I just was thinking of the people that might still like the stock build speeds, or people who just a quick game. I happen to know a few.

Actually, just adjust Global Build Costs to the 50% mark.  You'll be able to build about 50 times the number of ships the borg can, early on, with them absolutely unable to defend their mining operations that cost over 1k dilithium per miner.

I accidentally did that one once, which is how I learned that piece of hell.

Borg have the obvious advantage if infinite resources are used because the priority starts at max so they can build anything they want.  :borg:
