Working Buttons

Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

Can someone help in making this button transparent without the black out line.
In game it looks like a gray square despite having a Alpha Channel 1.

What texturing program are you using?

Buttons should be saved without rle compression and no alpha.  If you checked all those then it is a coding issue, not a texture issue, in which case you need to make sure you have the line
@tmaterial=interface
above your sprite reference. :thumbsup:(I think that is the line anyway. :sweatdrop:)

I thought buttons could have alpha channels, but sprites like phasers couldn't.

RLE Compression should be turned off.  I'm sure that's a feature that only gimp has though.  That's why I asked about the texturing software.

Yeh they can have alpha channels,that's what A2 uses for the special weapons buttons.
I use psp6 and I've found the problem to be with my A2 install,the buttons worked with a fresh install.
