Hey all, I just found my old Star Trek Armada II disk from when I was a kid, and wanted to play it again. I have Windows 7 Home Premium and have been unable to run it on any compatiablity mode or with virtual memory enabled.

I'm stuck, and frustrated haha. I was wondering if anyone could help me get the game running and able to play! Thanks.

armada 2 usually works in win7, i've played it in win7 myself.

please could you give some more info so we can better help you.

1) system specs

2) describe more about what fails when you try to run the game. does it never start, does it start and then hang with no window, does it start and then crash?

welcome to the forum :)

My computer is a Dell Stuido XPS 1645, with an Intel Core, i7 CPU, 1.60 GHz, with a 6.00 GB, and it's a 64-bit OS.

If I run the game normally without anything, it says "Sorry, there is not enough memory to continue. Please make sure that you have at least 50MB free on your hard drive and that virtual memory is not disbabled."

Then, if I try and run it in compatibility, it will go black like it will run, then simply take me back to the windows and say "Star Trek Armada 2 is not working..."

I'm not sure what to do.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

If you haven't already, please install the 1.2.5 patch project - http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Star_ ... _EXE;85981 . Cheers

Thanks for the Welcome, I really appreciate the help you guys are giving me!

When I try to download the 1.2, it says I need to download the 1.1, where can I find that?

no problem, glad you got it fixed. once you're done playing stock a2, try fleetops, your laptop specs are good enough to run fleetops.

even if you stick to skirmish single player, it's a lot more fun that stock.
