I just recently tried to play Star Trek Armada 2 again on Windows 7 x64 bit. After I got the low memory error I went searching online for a solution. I downloaded the 1.2.5 patch project and now it boots up but instantly crashes, regardless of the compatibility i put it on. I haven't found any solutions online and I received most of my help from this website. I was hoping that someone would help me out. I haven't played this game in years.

There are a few things you might try :)

-Move the whole STA2 folder to your desktop.

-Reinstall A2 and the 1.2.5 pp, but disable your antivirus.

-Test Fleet Ops: if it doesn't crash on load up, play A2 via the A2 Classic Mod: ... a2-classic

Welcome to the forums and good luck!

Another thing to try is to put Armada 2 on your data execution prevention list for windows 7, that can fix alot of non startup issues for older games. This should help you find it: ... n-settings
