Re-enable cloak classes
Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

I'd be surprised if you guys haven't thought of this already but in case you haven't.
Would it be possible to re-enable the detection classes and add cloak classes
In stock armada there is a detectClass = 3 line in the detection special weapons odf presumably it was originally intended to have different levels of cloak.
would it be possible to add a line to the cloak weapon such as cloakClass = 2 and then make it work so the detection weapon could only detect cloak for ships of equal or lower cloakClass
so you have a romulan ship with a cloaking device that has cloakClass = 2
a ship with detectClass = 1 could not detect the ship
a ship with detectClass = 2 can detect the ship.
Guessing not possible but you guy's have already done some amazing things.

The detection class is not used in Armada, and it would be hard to implement it. We will use another abroach in future versions of Fleet Operations. I think thats a possibility for the patch project too

yes, it seems it was intended to introduce more than one level of cloak detection, but actually that's all of it that has been done in the whole program. that you have to set detectClass = 3 is the only evidence of that, without it the detection won't do anything at all

It's good to know you guys are working on another approach even if there isn't enough code for the detection classes.
