Help with Importing Ships

i'm an annoying sh*t i know.

I'm trying to import the USS Reliant Miranda Class made by mikemckeon007 from A2files but being honest
i haven't a clue how to do it. I know i'm asking for a lot but could someone explain IN DETAIL how i do it. i know its mostly put certain files in certain folders but haven't a clue other than that.

please help. I'm going for a real dominion war fleet. we've got the old excelsior, galaxy, saber, defiant,
akira, steamrunner and i really really really really want the old miranda. i was reading in other parts of the
forum that i'd have to clone another ship in the .odf files so could just clone the miranda 2 for the miranda 1 or am i being an idiot. also don't know how to do that. sorry guys. any and all help will be appreciated.

Well, You should ask RCIX about the sprite files, but I could help you make a Odf to go with the ship

alright, what I will do is Write you an origional odf, and tell you want to do, but you will have to learn how to (copy and past) I mean...uh, write the upgraded next ranks.  I should be done by tomorrow, and then I'll see what else you need.

Now, are you going to need a build button, or are you wanting to make it a warp in ship?  If you need a build button, I can make a blank for you, so you can make it your self, or I can make it completely for you.  what ever you need.  I have allot of time to help, and I'm always glad to help.

DO you have my Patched SPR file? kif so, then the SOD should work. After that you should open tech1.tt and add:
yourshiphere.odf 0
if you want ti to require something, add
yourshiphere.odf 1 requiredodf.odf
instead. You can make it require more than one thing bymaking the number larger and adding that many odf names after it.
For wireframes, those are more complicated. I'll edit in instructions soon.

k, well I will make you learn how to at least edit odfs, but I will make the Build button for you, cus I only just learned how to do that.

Don't worry about being greedy, as long as you learn something.  

@ RCIX

what lines do you add to the SPR to fix the emmitters?

As for the wireframes, they usually work without too much editing.

i added a bunch of @emitter lines at the end of fleetops to let ships that use the stock emitters show up in fleetops. I think you can get the file in the fleetops modding section.

Alright, as promised here is the alpha version.  This is just a test version to see what needs to be done to make it work.  There are no buttons or tooltips yet , I'm just trying to get it to work in game.  Anyone can use this, just know it isn't finished yet. 

Tell me how it goes, and what else you want done.

ok downloaded the file and read the read-me but i don't know what Fhares light mod and what other textures should i use. i've some different ones from A2files. sorry for the trouble.
