Game Lockup/Freeze on Multiplayer Menus
Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

Hi, I'm having a huge problem that I've been trying to fix on and off for months. My fleet ops runs perfectly fine when I play a skirmish but as soon as I go into the multiplayer lobby ANY button I press will freeze the game and I have to force it to close. I can't host games, join them or press back from the lobby.
It's driving me crazy! I've reinstalled and redownloaded the patches and the game.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

how long do u wait before force closing fo?
usually when selecting a type of connection to play multiplayer there is a delay, for some people this can be several minutes, for others 30 seconds. but whatever the time is, the lobby (where u see the hosted games list) will eventually load.
so try clicking the option you want (which for tunngle will be Local Area Connection (TCP/IP) and waiting for 10 minutes, if it still doesn't work after 10 minutes then its probably a problem.
in the next patch (3.1.3) there will be a loading graphic to let you know its not crashed.

The connection screen taking me to the multiplayer lobby works fine but the problem is when I try to host a game lobby or join a game lobby (Where a map, players, factions etc are chosen) the game hangs indefinatly
Sys specs: Core 2 Quad Q8300 @2.50Ghz, 4GB of DDR2 and Nvidia Geforce 9800 and yeah my drivers are up to date.

Desolator2k is actually posting on my behalf. I've attatched a CPU-Z log of my system but I'd like to elaborate more on the problem.
The problem isn't only with your mod, afer installing Armada 2(unpatched) clicking the multiplayer button crashes the game to desktop. After installing 1.1 and 1.2.5 patches I can get onto the multiplayer lobbies(Gamespy or TCP/IP). The problem is here, if I try to go back, host a game or even join a game lobby then Armada hangs indefinatly. So it is nothing wrong with the mod but it is something wrong with the game.
I've waited for as long as 5 minutes and have even just left my computer running and came back half an hour later and there was still no change. I've also tried disabling MacAfee, Spybot, Running it in Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatabiliy and Running it as Administrator but they didn't help.
