Converting Resources....

Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

Hi guys... I'm working on a mod of mine and since I don't plan any bio-ship species in my game I wanted to make some major changes... first of all... I want to change the resources, resource codes... and all that stuff. But I want to know how...

These are the resources now:
Dilithium
Metal
Latinum
Biomatter
Officers

This is what I want them to be:
Dilthium
Tritanium (Sorry, I can't come up with a better universal metal term :sweatdrop: )
Dycanium
Uronium
Fleet Credits



Well, that's not the end of it.... I wish to know how to change the resource codes with it

Current:
dilithiumcost
metalcost
latinumcost
biomattercost
officercost

I want them to be:
dilthiumcost
tritaniumcost
dycaniumcost
uroniumcost
fleetcredits

plus this would spread out to the resource's stuff. Any help is appreciated. :D The more help with this... the sooner I can really get this mod working... ;)

well i think its hard coded (the team have changed some of the resourced like officers officerCost to credits and creditscost, biomatter biomatterCost to supplies and supplycost etc  but i think there are talks about reverting back to the stock a2 codes to help wit combatability with a2 plus their isnt any real point as u can change there ingame name using the dynamic_localized_strings.h file

you can change the names visible ingame in the localized string file, you will still have to use the old armada2 names in the odfs, but i think thats not a real problem ^-^
