Hey if anyone plays xbox live feel free to add me. I mainly play Forza 4 (a racing game) and Battlefield 3. My gamertag is Pizzanator

i play mario kart wii (another racing game ). never had the money for a xbox 360/ps3.

I have a PS3 and I play uncharted 3, transformers WC, and warhawks.

i play mario kart wii (another racing game ). never had the money for a xbox 360/ps3.

Hehe, good game, though an Xbox is only $50 more than a wii, and ps3's can sometimes be that low.  Ps3 is free multiplayer access.

I didn't even buy the wii, it was a gift. plus it only cost 90 quid at the time on discount, it usually costs more, the xbox 360 still costs around 160 quid for one with a meaningful hard drive. there's a cheaper one, but 4gb HD probably isn't enough.

Also M$ are the only console maker greedy enough to actually charge for online multiplayer, which I think is outrageous. you pay loads for the game and then are expected to pay more, M$ can swivel on it.

Pc graphics are much better (at reasonable prices) than 7th gen consoles now anyway, seeing as these consoles are 7 years old.

Even if I'd had the money for just one console, it still would've been the wii I chose, even though I loved my PSX as a kid.

I do PC gaming as well.  I play COD4 (galactic warfare mod) and TF2 on Steam (Myles' favorite  )

Yep I agree with you, although I think the 360 is the better console, but it's the last console I'm buying. PC has better graphics now that the consoles are so old, and it has free online and a more mature crowd / less kids. I'm gonna make a custom built gaming pc, with just a cheap graphics card at first and then i'll buy a nice one once I get some more $$$

define "better" console, the 360 is behind the ps3 on fancy tech. but is ahead in sales cos it came out a year earlier and has good exclusive games and a more reliable online service.

I would probably agree on all counts except for the exclusives.  Most people agree that ps3's exclusives are better.  I couldn't compare online service, but I haven't really had issues since the outage, which btw, they gave me $60 worth of games for(could have gotten up to $90).

what would you throw up against the might of the halo series? also i've heard gears of war is good. i loved the pc halo releases, it's a shame they made them xbox exclus (i hate the idea of exclusives).

ps3 have good racing exclus if you're into racing, i liked the early wipeout games.

ps3 doesn't even get tekken/metal gear to itself any more.

the only other big names i can think of are little big planet and insomniac's titles (uncharted/resistance/ratchet and clank), none of which stand out in the way halo does.

don't get me wrong, i love insomniac, they made the original spyro trilogy, which was epic. but even they are ditching exclusivity and will now publish for both consoles.

very few developers do exclusive deals any more, CoD/BF/most sports games all release multiplatform. the only exclus soon will be those made by developers owned by the console maker. and i don't see sony winning that fight.

And I would argue that even though it is third person against first person, Uncharted(naughty dog) beats out Halo.  I loved halo, but I think Uncharted is better.  Heck, I have even converted diehard CoD fans into Uncharted lovers. 

But, really, weather one game is better than the other is usually prefrence.  I would say without a doubt that ps3 has more popular exclusives than xbox does.

Being an Xbox owner, I'd agree the ps3 has better exclusives, and the free online and blu-ray player are pretty cool, plus the ps3 has a web browser. Maybe I just like my 360 because it's what I'm used to, haha. But when it comes time to renew my xbox live ($60 freakin bucks a year) since I don't have a blu-ray player I might just get a ps3... blu ray players are $100 for a cheap one, and then the Xbox online (which I wouldn't buy) is $60 so "theoretically" it wouldn't be a huge waste of money (I'm a university student, I have to be cheap okay )

If I had to choose a console right now I'd definitely choose ps3, but I bought my 360 back in '07 when it wasn't clear if HD DVD or Blu-Ray would win out, plus the PS3 games were more expensive back then as blu-ray was a fairly new technology.

And as far as the "might" of the Halo series goes... imo, the only good game was the first one, the sequels feel like kids' games to me and I never play them anymore. I find myself playing through the first one every once in a while, though.
