This patch does not work on Win 10, when I start the game it goes to the splash screen then crashes - the game don't even start Note: (I will put the error log at the bottom).

Is there a way to get this to work on Win 10?

Star Trek Armada: Support
http://gaming.trekcore.com/armada/support.html

People working to solve the problem of compatibility between ST Armada 1 and Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Another solution would be to run Armada 1 using Virtual BOX or DOS BOX.

Or, just run that awesome Super Classic mod:
//www.fleetops.net/forums/modifications/back-to-basics-12462?hilit=super%20classic

Until this problem is solved with ST Armada 1, there is a solution, to play ST Armada 2 installed into your FO-----> Mods folder.

That is the Star Trek Armada 2 Classic version with refreshed textures.

Dosbox didn't work because Armada cannot be run in dos mode.

I tried Armada with a lot of different options I used a compat. tool kit, virtual machines, dxwnd, etc you name it I tried it. For some reason on Windows 10 Armada can not create a hook into the game according to my error file, though I don't understand I tried DxWnd but it can hook into the game with a clipped screen and when I go to start a game it plays the movie or starts the crashes when I do a mission or instant action.

Is there any way Armada 1 can run on Windows 10

Somebody found a way for Armada 1 running in Windows 10:
http://www.armadafleetcommand.com/onscreen/armada/viewtopic.php?t=7422

"In could not get Armada 1 to work in Windows 10 buty di work out a solution to get it to run inside windows 10:

1. Install VMWare Worstation 12 within Windows 10 64bit. (I5 4690, 8GB RAM DDR3, ATI HD6800 graphics card, Samsung 840SSD;
2. Installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit within VMWare environment;
3. Fully updated OS;
4. Installed Star Trek Armada 1, Patch 1.2 then 1.3 (thanks to the developers);
5. Installed 'Armada Restoration Project' MOD (thanks to the developers);
6. Set Compatability Mode to 'Windows XP SP3' & 'Run as Adminsitrator' selected;
7. Start game and go to graphics settings;
8. After trial & error, have set graphics resoultion to 1680x1050;
9. Set 'Alternate Font' & 'Cinematic Window' to 'OFF'. Graphic detail to minimum (for smoother game play);
10. I tend to play Multiplayer Istant Action. Initially I could not see the 'map grid' on the playing map (assists in where to layout defences etc) which was more annoying than anything else but I found the solution was to turn 'OFF' Shroud & Fog when selecting the map.

I have played the game non stop for many hours without a single crash. ENJOY! "

Sorry for that. I tried to play with Armada 1 in Windows 7, and the game start well, but then everything it's going low motion and slowly, like when you enter in the hyperspace :-)

But not worry, I'm playing Fleet Operations and that ST Armada 2 Classic mod:
