Admiral's Log Configuration

Is there a way to change the way that ships are sorted into categories? Customize which tab that frigates appear under, for instance. Alternatively, is there a way to relabel the ship type tabs? The files in bitmaps\AdmiralsLog\TabButtons don't cover those.

Yes and yes.

You can set which tab it appears under via an odf parameter, and the tab labels in Dynamic_Localised_Strings.h, look for the labels starting with "ADLOG_FILTER_".

Thanks! Too bad we can't add categories. Relabeling them will do.
