I have just installed my new DSL Modem (WOOT) and it uses a router to also give me phone acces.

Anyway i am new with this router ability and Gamespy is telling me that i can't play online because my external ip is different from my internal IP.

For all i could figure out what i need to do is change my LAN connection that is used my DSL madem, to change something. But i don't knwo how to do it with.

BTW if it helps, i have Windows XP.

my question is does. anyone have experiance in how to set the router right??? I would be you Jem'Hadar, Ferengi slave servant, Romulan spy or Klingon batteringram if anyone can help me out.

Okay, im shure a router is for giving you internet acces on multiple comuters not leting you use your phone at the same time, but what should help your dilema is puting your computer in the router's DMZ.

*WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING*

Apply all windows updates and install an antivirus software before proceding.

*WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING* *WARNING*

Now that the warning is out of the way, look in your routers manuel for setting up a DMZ, or tell you the model and manufacturer of your router, and I will help with setting it up.

A look in the Nethelp.txt in your fleet operations folder could help, there is a description what to do in order to get armada with your router to work.
