Does anyone know the recipe to create Romulan Ale (alcoholic/non-alcoholic)?

I usually buy some food coloring (you'll find those colors in supermarkets where you get everything for baking... there are fluid and powder versions).

Then you take some 7up or Sprite or tonic water (something clear) and mix just a bit of blue color into it until it is light blue.

To make the whole thing alcoholic, just add vodka to it. To make it Romulan add much vodka to it. Smiley

If you can't get any blue color, use blue curacao. That will change the taste, so perhaps not everyone will like it. I prefer the version with the food color.

And don't try to color beer... as it's yellow, you will always get green beer instead of blue beer (good for St.Patrick's day Wink).

If you have other ideas, please post them, too. Cheesy

I prefer to make it with blue food coloring and evercleer with a bit of white rum and lemon/lime juice for flavour, 150 proof 95% alchohol.

http://www.beerliquors.com/liquors/grain.htm

I also make bloodwine the same way but with red food coloring and without the lemon/lime juice.

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt romulan ale Green.. what about in that episode where sisko tricked the romulans into joining the war, the romulan dude was drinking GREEN Stuff!

anywho, if you want romulan ale, add some colour into water. Although, there is that drink somewhere that is green, and its really strong.. it'll kill you if you drink too much (which isnt much at all)

It was blue in Star Trek II, it was blue in Star Trek VI... if it's green in DS9, it could be another variety of Romulan ale.

However, the green stuff you're talking about in the second part of your post is probably Absynth, as it is green (it's also called "the green fairy").

Absynth was the reason why Vincent Van Gogh cut his ear off. Cheesy
