yea optec you do the textures and models and i read Major a Paynes review of the mod and is it true you arent using 512*512 textures it would make the game much better imo but as it is i like the mod and the ships textures except for the cube and sphere just constuctive critism here not taking the piss or anything ok? cause i know ur a hell of a lot better than me LOL

btw are u planning to make Custom Attack patterns like Banking and real strafing runs
+i think Bops and Kvorts are too weak lol they have no chance without attack patterns cause there shields and hull is too weak

also im not sure if this is possible is there any way to make a special thing like the warp in u got except the ships arent permanant and there are lots like for example u call in the 7th fleet for 5mins containing 26ships or something??

we have decided to use 256x256 textures becouse of performance reasons. with 8 races, many non player races and different map objects you will have a lot more textures to load then in armada2 classic.
Theoretically such an fleet warpin is possible. I thought about it, before developted the actual warpin system. It is unlikly it will find its way back in the game ;-)

i can make an optional high res option in the package where the user can later decide if he wants 256x256 or 512x512 textures used

as far as i know different textures are enough to make armada think you have different versions. therefore a 256x256 user won't be able to play with a 512x512 use, and with Fleet Operations being a multi player mod this should also be considered..

kool and i do understand why you chose the 256*256 its a good reason and i like the fact u take people into consideration

but i reeeeeeaaaaly like the idea of a fleet warpin isnt there away where u could make a sod which looked like 10ships not very big ones but 10 and then give it Hardpoints to give the illusion like the Angry mob on cnc gnerals??

it would be cool dont u think maybe make them Tac fighters which have warp capability to give the feds a chance against the borg cause they can never make bigger ships and they cant produce 100sovs now

perhaps such an ability will become reality in fleetops, but not for the federation. there only will be the excelsiorII class to complete the federation... well perhaps there will be some new vesels for a new feature i thought of, but i first have to check if it is possible to realize this..

wait it is possible cause someone did it with the mvam mod where 2parts were one unit so maybe like a mini task force of fighters would be cool i kinda disagree with you cause the feds need the fighters i think they would be cool or u could add them to the excellsior 2 Yea like on Sfc2 intro where sulu launches figters vs the Isc so u could make the fighters into a weapon which launch someone is doing this on another mod i think i read about it on the Armadafleetcommand.com boards

actualy the federation does have fghters if you think about it. the Defiant class is small extreamly manuverable and deadly. only problem is getting them into formations to make them deadly.if your worried about other species fighters produce 20 defiants and leave em at your base. they are nasty lil shits in numbers. just my thought  Smiley

you should try using large vessels (sovereign, negh'var or cubes) against defiant teams. Becouse of their Pulse Phasers they are vulnerable (considering they are a medium vessel and therefore can be hit quite well with torpedos)
