hmmm isn't the disruptor that thing that shoots several bursts of energy? and the phaser is a beam? and as i remember, rhienn gets a beam, so it should be called phaser.

I don't think it's a beam but concentrated plasma or something and has nothing to do with Phasers. They can change their Disruptors to fire beam or pulse.

Yup DEFIANT is right. Klingons and romulans use disruptors and federation uses phaser.  And The Dominion uses a phased polaron beam    |

if a abilaty works well on alean use if more.
