I suppose my strategy fits the romulans better and i do like them, but i use the federation a bit more because of the extra hulls, choice is a big thing to me. but the romulan's cloaking tech gives you the ability to control the battle, and control of the field is the first step in victory. but i picked feds. hard choice.

The fact that my ships explode doesn't bother me; what does bother me is when they don't have to but they do anyway.

For me its all about the cloaking device. I'm sure that even for version 3 this will be the case. I don't usually have much use for the larger Romulan ships save for the Tavara because cost/build expense doesn't equate with my tactics until the enemy's standing fleet and resources have been crippled. I find it easier to smash an opponent's larger ships with the Rheinn (T RFT), mid-level Generix, and Leahval classes as they are fast enough to retreat and cloak once they've been damaged, and to actually surprise someone by running down their fleets in transit. I also don't get much use out of the cloak generator except in defense, though I wonder if anyone else feels the same.
My biggest problem with the Romulans is the disappointing performance of the Norexan class. It simply isn't enough of an improvement over the D'deridex for it to be worth it for the Romulans to have built an entirely new battleship. If anything the race could use a better battlecruiser to take the fight to the enemy fast(er than waiting for anything with real armor to get in the mix).

Although the romuleas ad the kligons hae some sweet ships, I'd have to say that the borg are the best. They hae the mose powerful ships in all...
