First, your mod is great Smiley but there are some things that disturb a nice game:

- installing from a german armada 2 cd doesnt add all unit sounds
- network game is laggy and gets more laggy if you build more than about 20 ships and even if you play only 1 vs 1 (100mbit network with switchhub and no problems with other multiplayer titles) Sad
- when trying to set one of the random splash screen in the registry an error occurs

edit: I forgot, I installed FleetOpsBeta2.exe, FleetOpsBeta2Lang1.exe, FleetOpsBeta2Patch2.exe, fleetopsmultimedia1.exe

Which unit sounds are missing? (I believe the FO team would like to see a summary of the directory to check if all of them are there or not).

The strange thing is, I (and I believe some people of the FO team) have the German version of Armada II as well. I had no problem with sound files. I installed all the files you listed, as well.

I think all the additional English speech is included in the installer (I have mixed English and German language output because of that), while the standard files are copied from the CD.

I have 1462 files in my sounds/voiceover/ingame directory. My sounds/effects directory contains 412 files. How many do you have?

PS: Did you install FO in a clean directory or did you try to install it over an existing version of Armada II, which is not recommended?

Yes.... about the german CD:

I have that problem too.  only some of the races are in engilsh and the arnīt completly in english.  The federation is mostly in german.  only some of the new ships and stuff have english sounds (ex. that repair ship)

so will this be fixed?

Like:

DocaCola: "Doca to Optec. It's 3 days. Are you ready?"

Optec: "Right on schedule. Just give me the ftp-password and I will load it up."

DocaCola: "Allright."

KLOK: "But there was so much to do. Optec said it would be 3 months."

Detektor: "KLOK, you of all people go by the book."

Eufnoc: "By the book?"

Me: "By the book. Regulation 46A: 'When communications are monitored during development, no uncoded messages on an open channel.'"

KLOK: "You lied."

Optec: "I exaggerated."

DocaCola: "Days instead of hours, months instead of days."

Anyone remembers this? Cheesy
