Change from Beta ... to Version Numbers, e.g. 3.0 4.0 and so on. In fact, every Beta is fully playable und only some tweaks and patches were necessary each time, just like todays games always need patches. So release it as Fleet Operations 3.0, change to 3.1 with the first hotfix and when the next one is ready, call it Fleet Operations 4.0. I think that wouldn't be a problem. Example: Corel Draw 3.0 was also a fully functional program, but Coral Draw 7 has much more features. However, they didn't name it Corel Draw Beta 3.0, did they?  |

Well "Beta" means "tested version". As in tested by the makers and then released into the public or to some "Beta testers" to notify problems and such.
Alpha would mean that it is an untested version of the game that was released into the public or to "Alpha/Beta testers"
So there you have it!! We are all beta testers! lol
So I've got no idea what the final version should be called! Maybe "Fleetoperations full" or something.
